Alissa is a graduate counseling intern who is passionate about working with children and adolescents. She believes that every child has a unique story to tell and that, when given a safe and supportive environment, young people often understand themselves better than adults realize. Her goal is to help children express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences while also bridging the gap between children and their parents, fostering greater understanding, connection, and communication within the family.
Alissa is known for her patience, authenticity, and willingness to meet clients exactly where they are. She understands that trust takes time and is comfortable sitting with children and teens even when they are hesitant or resistant to therapy. Rather than rushing the process, she values building genuine relationships through play, curiosity, and shared experiences. Alissa enjoys learning alongside her clients and believes that healing often begins when children feel seen, heard, and accepted for who they are.
