Austin Pohevitz

I'm a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) based in the vibrant state of Arizona.

  • My work spans various settings, from assisting incarcerated individuals to delivering school-based counseling services. Drawing from my rich background, I specialize in: Autism Spectrum Support for children and families, Counseling for Boys and Men with tailored approaches to uniquely address the challenges and aspirations faced by males in different life stages, and Personal Development: Setting and achieving efficient goals to pave the path of success.

  • My therapeutic style weaves together person-centered practices and the cognitive-behavioral framework, ensuring a bespoke experience that resonates with each individual's journey. Here are core tenets of my therapy sessions: Safety and Acceptance: Establishing a non-judgmental space to explore and understand one's self, Collaborative Goal-Setting: Engaging together in creating achievable and meaningful objectives, Practical Strategies: Crafting and adapting coping mechanisms, healing processes, and avenues for personal development

Having dived into the counseling field for over 3 years, I’ve dedicated much of my practice to guiding boys, men, and families on the autism spectrum.

Originally from Los Angeles, California, my journey brought me to Arizona — a place that quickly became home. My commitment extends beyond just providing therapy; I aim to offer relatable and effective guidance from a male perspective, which can sometimes be underrepresented in the therapeutic community.

I firmly believe that everyone has the potential to achieve their dreams. It’s my privilege to aid you in setting strategic goals and to provide the support needed to tread confidently towards success.

Let’s embark on this transformative journey together. I’m here to propel you towards your aspirations with empathy, expertise, and dedication.
