Lisa Schenk

Lisa Schenk is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Arizona with more than 18 years of experience in clinical practice, social work education, and community advocacy. She earned her Master of Social Work from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Sociology from Grand Canyon University and is licensed as an LMSW with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.  

Lisa specializes in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and grief counseling, with a particular focus on serving first responders and individuals impacted by acute and complex trauma. Lisa provides front-line crisis intervention and psychosocial support to clients, families, and emergency personnel,  helping them  navigate trauma, grief, and life transitions through evidence-based, client-centered care.

Alongside her clinical work, Lisa is an accomplished educator who has taught and developed undergraduate and graduate social work courses at Arizona State University, Grand Canyon University, and Los Angeles Pacific University. Her teaching emphasizes trauma-informed practice, cultural humility, and social justice, equipping future social workers with the skills to respond effectively in diverse and high-stakes environments. 

Passionate about empowering others, Lisa is dedicated to mentorship, advocacy, and clinical excellence. Whether supporting first responders in moments of crisis and guiding them through trauma recovery, or educating the next generation of social workers, she is committed to fostering resilience, healing, and meaningful change in the communities she serves as she truly believes walking alongside people during challenging moments is an honor and privilege.
