Groups at Chapter & Page

Sometimes the thing that helps most is realizing you’re not the only one.

Groups give kids, teens, adults, and families a chance to practice skills, connect with people who understand, and build confidence in a setting that feels a little less like “therapy” and a little more like real life.

At Chapter & Page, we create groups around the things we hear families asking for every day: making friends, managing big emotions, navigating anxiety, building confidence, finding community, and simply having a place where you can show up as yourself.

Groups for Kids

Some kids need more than someone explaining social skills to them — they need a safe place to actually practice them.

Our kids’ groups use things children naturally enjoy, including games, LEGO, art, crafts, imaginative play, and other hands-on activities. While they’re having fun, they’re also working on communication, flexibility, emotional regulation, confidence, cooperation, and friendship skills.

We want kids to have opportunities to connect without feeling like every interaction is a test.

That means we meet children where they are. We understand that kids communicate differently, play differently, regulate differently, and develop friendships differently.

Our goal isn’t to teach children to hide who they are.

It’s to give them more tools for navigating the world while still being themselves.

Groups for Teens

Being a teenager is hard enough without feeling like you don’t quite know where you fit.

Our teen groups are designed to make connection easier.

Instead of sitting in a circle being asked to talk about feelings for an hour, teens can connect through shared activities, tabletop games, conversation, humor, teamwork, and experiences that naturally create opportunities to practice social and emotional skills.

We work on things like:

  • Making and maintaining friendships
  • Communication
  • Reading social situations
  • Emotional regulation
  • Handling frustration
  • Cooperation and teamwork
  • Confidence in social settings
  • Navigating conflict
  • Being comfortable being yourself around other people

The goal is connection — not perfection.

Groups for Young Adults

Adulthood does not automatically make anxiety, friendships, executive functioning, or emotional regulation easier.

For many young adults, this stage of life comes with an enormous amount of pressure: school, jobs, relationships, independence, expectations, and figuring out what adulthood is supposed to look like.

Our young adult groups provide a place to slow things down, learn practical skills, meet other people navigating similar experiences, and talk about what is actually happening in your life.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you walk through the door.

That’s kind of the point.

Groups for Parents

Parenting can be incredibly isolating — especially when you’re raising a child whose needs don’t fit neatly into what everyone else seems to expect.

Sometimes parents don’t need another parenting book.

Sometimes you need to sit with people who understand why you’re tired.

Why something that looked small to everyone else was enormous for your family.

Why you’re proud of progress other people might not even notice.

And why you can love your child more than anything in the world while still admitting that some days are really hard.

Our parent groups create space for support, connection, encouragement, and honest conversations without judgment.

You don’t have to perform here.

You can just be a parent who needs other parents.

Sometimes We Create Groups for the Whole Family

Children don’t develop skills in isolation, and families don’t live in therapy offices.

That’s why some of our groups bring kids and grown-ups together.

Through games, shared activities, and structured experiences, families can practice communication, connection, cooperation, and simply enjoying each other.

We also offer simultaneous groups where parents receive support while their children participate in their own skills-based group.

Because sometimes both of you need something — at the exact same time.

Neurodiversity Is Welcome Here

Many of the children, teens, adults, and families we work with are autistic, ADHD, anxious, gifted, learning differently, socially unsure, highly sensitive, or some combination of all of the above.

They don’t need to become less themselves to belong in our groups.

We believe social skills should help people connect, not teach them to camouflage who they are.

We believe emotional regulation should provide tools, not demand compliance.

And we believe there are many different ways to communicate, participate, play, make friends, and belong.

If you aren’t sure whether a particular group will be a good fit, ask us.

We would much rather have a real conversation with you than expect you to figure it out from a flyer.

What’s Happening Now

We have new groups happening throughout the year for kids, teens, young adults, parents, and families.

Take a look through the groups below to see what is currently available.

If something feels like it might be a good fit, reach out or use the registration link to let us know you’re interested.

And if you don’t see exactly what you’re looking for, tell us.

Some of our best groups start because enough families say:

“We need this.”
